It is already middle of February now, and I became 72 years old as of yesterday.here in Philippines. This time, it is rather short visit, but main purpose of visit is for obtaining SRRV (Special Resident Retiree's Visa) which is permanent visa for foreign retirees. For it's application, I needed to visit PNB (Philippine National Bank) tokyo branch to transfer US dollars to Manila Bank, and get Police non-criminal certificate, Medical certificate, Pension certificate as well as obtaining their apostille certificate at Foreign Affaires in Japan. Since February 1st of 2020, I was busy opening US dollar bank account at PNB in Makati city, Manila and submitting SRRV application to PRA (Philippine Retirement Authority) in Makati city.. In 2019, I've been busy since returned from Phillipines in March. At Foodex, we found CAVA sparkling wine from Barcelona, Spain and started their CAVA from July. During 5 months we have already shipped 426 bottles out of 600 imported. Next year in mid-January, we will receive the 2nd shipment from winery in Barcelona. The next big move is relocation of office from Tokyo to Nagano Prefecture where my mountain house is. The front page picture is 1st snow on Christmas eve at Tateshina new office. It's been over one month since arriving Quezon city, Philippines, and I have updated photos with some of events during the stay in "Quezon City2019". Golf skills are not yet improved enough, but achieved chip-in-birdy two times at least. Tennis court is now open every weekend, but found to be "no tennis net equipped, and no official plan to be equipped". So, I have decided to prepare myself, and found "portable tennis net" at Amazon netshop and orderd. It took only one week and started to use this month. Will still plan to return to Japan on March 6th although mostlikely the Foodex this year we will not be exhibited. Regards, Koby February 9th, 2019

Happy New Year 2019!! This year, I will spend around 2 months again in Quezon City, Philippines starting from January 7th for enjoying golfing and tennis, etc., and plan to return Japan in early March for Foodex2019 where we exhibit our wine again at German pavilion during 5-8th. Since September last year, now there is no-stop highway bus service from Malila airpot to Araneta Center which is only 5 min walking distance to the Condo and cost only 100 peso. It:s been two weeks or so since I moved to Manila. Unfortunately, tennis court is not open yet, and swimming pool will not be open this month, so I enjoy Gym. I played golf 3 times and applied for membership, but still waiting for their approval. I realized that morning time is better as usually not too hot, so I play only 9 holes in the morning and play one backet of balls in the afternoon. It is only 15 min by renta-car, but trafic is bad. So, I am thinking to buy folding bicycle so that go there any time without traffic problem. I enjoy grocery shopping, cooking and drinking as well, and will update web photos from now on. Happy New Year 2018!! This year, I will spend around 2 months in Quezon City, Philippines starting from January 11th for enjoying golfing and tennis, etc., but need to return Japan in early March because of Foodex2018 where we exhibit our wine again at German pavilion during 6-9th. I was planning to visit there in November last year, but due to the new medical device registration work, it was delayed. It's been another one year since the last HP renewal. This time, I spent 5 days in Quezon city in Philippines early this month and decided to renew my website. Picture in the front page is a view from balcony of Manhattan Heights Cubao Condominium I stayed. The reason why I stayed there is to furnish one bed room unit on 5th floor where I have decided to stay this comming winter from November for a few months. As I will be 70 years old next year in February, I am planning to do second retirement. Basically, main consulting agreement will be terminated at the end of August, and minor projects will be finalized later this year so that our Medical Devices Division can be seized. It's been more than one year since the last HP renewal. This time I spent about one week in South Germany and decided to renew my website. Picture in front page is Winery in Brackenheim near Stuttgart, Germany, and it is beutifull terrace field. We plan to start importing their german wines from next month, and have visited their winery facility and for purchase agreement. As Porsche Musum is near Stuttgart, I have visited them as well. After two weeks trip in US, I am now in Japan and have decided to renew my website. Picture in front page is Downtown in Durango, CO and I added link site from Restaurant/Pub&Oyster Bar in Durango. I would like to visit them again maybe in winter if I visit Durango for skiing. ARVO meeting in Denver, CO was very interesting one and spent valuable time there. Tateshina in Nagano Prefecture is pretty warm now, and cherry blossoms at Chino Station is full blooming. I uploaded the picture on the front page again this year. We are now in a new fiscal year starting from April in Japan and golden week holiday is comming soon, but I will travel to US from May 2nd for attending ARVO ophthalmic congress to be held at Denver, CO. Happy New Year 2015!! This year, I need to submit new product application in January, and therefore, a little bit busy. As there was a change in Pharmaceutical laws in November 25, 2014, there will be actuall changes taking place this year, and we need to adapt it upon product registration. This law changes also will bring the needs of modification on my company's home page as it has description on product registration steps in Japan. Year 2014 will soon end again, but come to think of it, I have not visited any foreign country including diving tour this year. Locally in Japan, I visited Kyoto in January for congress, and in September and November, I visited Nagano Togakushi and Niigata Furumachi (old town) for enjoying Soba noodle and Sake. Next year in Feburuary, I plan to visit Palau for diving for the second time since 10 years ago. This week on 23rd, I already enjoyed skiing at Pilatus Tateshina Ski Resort as we have much snow this year in Japan. It was 80cm of snow and nice weather. Now the snow on the mountain is gone and cherry bossom starts blooming in Tateshina mountain house. Picture on the front page was taken at the Chino station in Nagano Prefecture close to Suwa Shrine. WOC (World Ophthalmic Congress) at Imperial Hotel and Tokyo International Forum was over and we are now in new fiscal year with 8% comsunption tax starting from April in Japan. Happy New Year 2014! This year again, I was spending new years day at Tateshina mountain house in Chino, Nagano Prefecturer, and enjoying Ski, hot spring and drinking Sake. Pilatus Tateshina Ski Resort is only 15 minutes from the house, and 7 minutes Ropeway ride to the top of Yokodake mountain with 2,237m altitude. It is 4 Km long ski cource with beautifull snow frosted forests along the way down. The picture on the front page of website is the Pilatus Tateshina Ropeway with 100 passengers capacity. The weather was so good on January 2nd afternoon. This year we plan to attend Ophthalmic congress in Kyoto during January 17-19, and International Congress in Tokyo Imperial Hotel during April 2-6. Year 2013 will soon end, but this year, I have visited Liloan of Cebu island, Philippine for diving in October. Please see uploaded pictures. I also visited Napa Valley, CA for winery tour and tasting together with two of company employees on the way to New Orleans, LA for AAO congress and exhibition. Tateshina mountain house in Chino, Nagano Prefecturer where I spend most of time now as company's property is warm enough for golfing, and they opened early this month. Cherry blossom will be full blooming soon in the mountain. When weather is no good for golfing, I often visit nearby museums and historical places. Front page picture is one of the museum with interesting housing near Suwa shrine. This year, I was planning to go Massachusets in June for business. but will be postpone for several reasons. Happy New Year! This year I am spending new years day at Tateshina mountain house in Chino, Nagano Prefecturer, and enjyoining Ski, hot spring and drinking. As I made this place as company's property last year, I am spending offten here unless I have something in Tokyo. Ski area is about 15-30 minutes, golf cource is 10 minutes and hot spring is only 5 minutes from this place. Year 2012 will soon end, but this year, I have visited Irvine, CA and Tucson, Az in April for business and golf, etc., and also visited Scotland, UK in July for business. I was able to experience Eurostar train ride from London to Paris and browsing around Les Champs-Elysees on the way back. Wine business is doing fine, and started selling indivisual customers from July. New wine business started on August 24 for Fortunato, red after receiving liquer sales license from government on August 11, and September 16 for Celebrity, white wine this year. I also visited Provincial Wines LLC in Alpine, California in October to meet Danial Lomax, owner of the winery and his family. When I visited the company in CA and Ophthalmic congress in San Diego in March, I also visited a friend of mine known for over 30 years living in Phenix, Az and played Golf together there. He asked me if I could help a person who owns winery in CA to export his wines to Japan. I imported a dozen of red wines as private import after return to Japan and, as a result of tasting, market research, strong request from restaurants. etc. I have decided to import myself as a new wine import business. In July, we will get Fortunato, red as well as Celebrity, white later from Provincial Wines in Alpine, CA, and start selling them in August. Happy New Year 2011!! I will jump this year as Rabbit is this year's animal in Japan. In early January, we will have one supplimental certification of diagnostic instrument from Scottland, and we start importing the unit. In addition to the Glaucom surgical instrument approved and started importing from California last year November, we will be busy importing tasks. During October 7-13 this year, I went La Paz, Baja Carifornia of Mexico for scuba diving tour. Sea of Cortes located between Mexico mainland and Baja California peninsula is full of species such as Sea Lions, Manta, Dolphin and Whale Shark. I took some pictures of Sea Lions and others as well as camping at famous Espiritu Santo Island with giant cactus and milky way at night. We also enjoyed mexican food and tequila in La Paz. I went Andaman Sea in Thailand for scuba diving tour during March 20-26, 2010. I took lots of pictures under water and on the boat as well as after diving in Khaolak area in Thailand. Similan Islands, Bon Island, Surin Island and famous Richelieu Rock were so beautifull and really enjoyed scuba diving, Thai beer(Singha) and Thai food.
